Vision Software Install

There are two vision software systems used in FRC. The most commonly used is the LimeLight software, which is maintained by the LimeLight vendor and uses LEDs to identify the target. There is also an open-source software option that can be used with either a USB or RaspberryPi camera called PhotonVision.

To install PhotoVision for the first time see Installing PhotonVision on a Romi. While connected to your PC download the latest release from the PhotoVision Releases page. Select the photonvision-v2022.2.0-raspi.jar file for download.

If you already have PhotonVision installed connect to the Romi at 10.0.0.2:5800 and click on Settings. Use the Offline Update button to upload the new jar file. You must place the Romi in Writable mode from the Romi Web UI before doing this. PhotoVision will automatically restart after the upload.
